Rearranging two exhibition rooms in the Casino Luxembourg, Jeroen de Rijke and Willem de Rooij, both artists and film-makers, have created a specific viewing situation that suit sthe distinct temporal and psychological character of their films "I'm Coming Home in Forty Days" (15 min.) and "Chun Tian" (3 min.).
De Rijke/de Rooij work on a high cinematic level, but they submit film aesthetics to perspectives and procedures taken from the fine arts, as well as from their approach to the image and to formal values. Their films "contract time", enabling the spectator intensely to witness the psychological conditions of perception.
